Mar 27th 2010 16:46 Report Abuse I would like to post this message to all who replied to my question on Wotton back in the early 1950's. The help i received from the Wotton Heritage Center was great ,I was put in touch with two gents and they have helped Know end. I have learned that that was a family of Slade's living at the bottom of the playing field called Kenneth,Margaret and a son named Kenneth and i think that is the lad i used to play and pick blackberries with,plus make a bit of cash by selling them to be made into jam. I have also worked out that the photo was taken in front of the house's called White City where a Mr Frank Gibbs lived and could have been a driver working with Kenneth Slade down at the Costwolds Yard. this Google Earth is good . The sad part of this story is the lad i used to play with was killed or died by being run over outside the school back in 1952 So once again thanks a lot and if anyone can add anything to this for me it will be much apprecated. Still researching a woman Slade that lived in the White City (Cotswold Gardens) but moved away. Slade's at the bottom of Synwell lane,in the house called Madam Moore's well.
