Looks like that's a YES
I'm tempted to type everything in italics from now on. It looks so sophisticated! Bold just looks vulgar, underlining looks messy, but italics is the way forward, for the ultimate in stylish and elegant posts |

Sep 28th 2007 07:30 Report Abuse |  | Hurray for Italian humanist Gian Francesco Poggio Bracciolini (1380 –1459). Apparently, when we read italics, we are essentially just reading this guy’s handwriting.
Of course, the 'italics' on this board and elsewhere are not proper italics, just an oblique font where the top gets shoved over a bit.
Looking at his picture, I can see now why Bracciolini's writing always slanted to one side; he had a wonky head.
