UTEA: LENNON RETROSPECTIVE : 8pm, Saturday 12th Sep

From 20:00 to 22:00.     Add this to your calendar:

Imagine you could take a Magical Mystery Tour back in time to revisit the sound of The Beatles. Well we can recommend the perfect night for you.

Visualise a young Lennon & you have Gaz Keenan. Add a highly professional backing band & from the start you know this is a live music experience you won't forget.

The "Lennon Retrospective" two hour show brought to you by "John Lennon Tribute UK", promises to take you on a journey through John Lennon’s popular back catalogue, serving up classic solos and Lennon penned early Beatles classics.

Fronted by Gaz Keenan, the band of professional musicians have played theatres countywide with the show, designed to offer an authentic Lennon experience.

Highlights of the tour so far have included a mini stage invasion, a duet with a member of the audience & a solo recreation of the rooftop concert by Gaz himself on top of Stratford Play House porch roof followed by a walkabout busk around the town with a stream of followers!

Gaz, himself, has over 25 years of experience in the industry, and his passion for The Beatles, in particular Lennon, has given birth to this particular concept.

A look alike and sound alike, Gaz featured heavily in the ITV show The Big Audition which he went on to win.
His ability to recreate John's soulful vocals alongside passionate guitar and piano work, is clear to see on stage, as the show is stitched together with costume changes, uncanny mannerisms and caustic wit.

Grab your chance to witness this highly acclaimed tribute band when they visit Wotton Under Edge in September.

"No-one can top Gaz who looks like Lennon in his early years" The Daily Express

Contains strong language. Not suitable for young children. Parental guidance recommended.

Performed for 2 nights only at Under the Edge Arts.

Featuring an introduction by Jacky Tolfree, poem by local poet Rosy Langley and piano music by Paul Groom.
